This Privacy Policy describes how Aleksei Loginov ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the PlayLing mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
To provide and improve our services, we collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you register via Firebase Authentication, we collect your email address and a unique User ID (UID).
- Database Content: Learning progress and settings related to paid collections may be saved in Google Cloud Firestore and linked to your UID to ensure synchronization across your devices.
- Usage Data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how you interact with the App (e.g., screen views, button clicks, and interaction with phrase cards or the audio player).
- Technical & Diagnostic Data: Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports to help us identify and fix technical issues. Firebase App Check collects device information to verify that requests are authentic and to prevent abuse. Firebase Remote Config may collect device identifiers to deliver personalized app configurations or content.
- Purchase Data: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes transaction data (e.g., product identifier, purchase time). All financial transactions are handled securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not have access to your credit card or bank account details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- Core Functionality: To manage your account, sync your learning progress for paid content, and provide access to premium features.
- App Improvements: To analyze usage patterns and enhance the language learning experience.
- Stability and Security: To detect, prevent, and fix technical bugs and protect the App against unauthorized access.
- Personalization: To adjust app settings and configurations via Remote Config.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with third-party providers only as necessary to operate the App. These include:
- Google Firebase: For authentication, database hosting, analytics, stability monitoring, and security.
- RevenueCat: For subscription management and purchase validation.
- Apple and Google: For payment processing and app store distribution.
4. Guest Mode
The App provides a "Guest Mode" where you can use core features (phrase cards and audio player) without creating an account. In this mode, we only collect anonymous usage and diagnostic data.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by using the Delete Account feature within the App settings. See Account deletion for details. Alternatively, you may request data deletion by contacting us at playling.app@gmail.com. Upon account deletion, all data linked to your UID will be permanently removed from our systems.
6. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly or intentionally collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information from our servers as quickly as possible.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
