Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PlayLing mobile application (the "App") operated by Aleksei Loginov ("we", "our", or "us").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Purchases made through the Apple App Store are also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with Apple’s agreement for an App Store purchase, Apple’s agreement controls for that purchase.
1. The App
PlayLing is a language audio trainer. It provides phrase collections, flashcards, background audio playback, and related learning tools. Some features and collections are available at no charge. Other features and collections require a purchase or an active PlayLing Premium subscription.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Accounts and Guest Mode
- You may use core features in Guest Mode without creating an account. Progress in Guest Mode is stored on your device and is not synced to the cloud.
- You may create an account with email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- Cloud sync of learning progress requires a signed-in account and a subscription or purchased collections.
- You may delete your account at any time in the App or as described on the Account Deletion page.
4. License
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial language learning.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App or its content, except as permitted by applicable law.
5. Purchases and PlayLing Premium
The App may offer one-time purchases (for example, individual collections) and auto-renewable PlayLing Premium subscriptions. Current subscription options include monthly, 3-month, 6-month, and yearly plans. The title, length, and price of each option are shown in the App and in the Apple App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by country and store.
PlayLing Premium provides access to premium collections and related paid features while the subscription is active.
For App Store subscriptions:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the renewal shown in the App Store.
- You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
For Google Play subscriptions, payment, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Google according to Google Play’s terms. You can manage or cancel in your Google Play account subscriptions settings.
Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription. You must cancel through Apple or Google.
6. Refunds
Payments are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. We do not receive your payment card details. Refund requests are handled by the store that processed the purchase, under that store’s refund policy.
7. Content and Intellectual Property
The App, including phrase collections, audio, design, trademarks, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Using the App does not transfer ownership of any content to you.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the App in a way that violates applicable law;
- attempt to access paid content without a valid purchase or subscription;
- interfere with or disrupt the App, its servers, or other users;
- misuse accounts, purchases, or restore features;
- copy or redistribute App content for commercial purposes.
9. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services to operate, including Apple App Store, Google Play, Google Firebase, and RevenueCat. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and privacy policies.
10. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” Language-learning results depend on your practice and are not guaranteed. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim, if any.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law.
12. Changes and Termination
We may update the App, change features, or modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
